The Global Corporate Communications director will be a trusted Corporate Communications professional within the Berry Global Marketing team. As a Global Corporate Communications Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading the global communications manager and social media marketing specialist, overseeing the management of external global public relations and marketing consultants. This critical Berry communication expert will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic communications strategies and tactics for impact that support and furthers the goals of the global company Brand.
The Global Communications Director will manage initiatives to completion in the necessary timeframe, including media outreach, digital strategies, online and in-person events, and message development. This role also will work in collaboration with other value chain stakeholder groups to advance shared goals.
Communication responsibilities will span across both external and internal communications. External communications will focus on priority campaigns and issues including customer-facing programs, creating company position statements regarding plastics regulation and legislation, and company spokesperson leadership platforms. Internal communications will focus on building the company culture, aligning with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy, and creating clear global communications across town hall events, internal communication channels, and leadership messaging that are consistent and aligned with the company’s values and mission.
This position requires exceptional writing skills; strong collaboration skills, organization, and diplomacy; a keen interest in political and environmental issues; and an ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously on various issues. An ideal candidate would have experience executing ESG campaigns.
This Global Communications Director will report to the Vice President of Marketing, with dotted lines to the CHRO and Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion because of the importance and priority of those functions in this position.
