Description

Maintains knowledge of the regulatory requirements related to programs certified by New York State Education Department (SED) and the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) including Home and Community Based (HCBS) programs. Conducts formal and informal compliance and quality audits and monitoring activities as directed. Monitors implementation of corrective actions related to program deficiencies or incidents. Supports the development and processing of agency Standard Operating Procedures.

To actively further the agencys mission to optimize quality of life (QofL) for individuals served by monitoring and implementing systems that promote the QofL of the individuals in our care.

Responsibilities:

• Completes or assists with the completion of education program audits, preschool audits, person centered reviews, compliance audits, Article 16 audits, and other audits, as directed, to assess regulatory compliance, staff understanding and implementation of regulations, agency procedures and practices, and progress of children and adults towards goal and valued outcome attainment
• Maintains knowledge of current incident management regulations for SED and OPWDD certified programs and conducts investigations as directed
• Supports the development and management of agency Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as directed
• Supports the development and management of Compliance training topics. Facilitates and provides staff training regarding designated topics as needed or as directed

Qualifications

Requirements:

AA/BA preferred, with sufficient experience to perform the responsibilities of the position.
