Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Corporate Safety and Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations meet all safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety and compliance programs in accordance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess workplace hazards, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, hazard recognition, and safe work practices.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with management, project teams, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to inform decision-making and enhance safety programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety and compliance management, preferably in the construction, crane operation, or industrial sector.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Construction and/or Corporate Industrial Safety is a must-have experience.
Experience with Pre-Qualifications and their requirements is preferred.
