Corporate Construction Manager oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Follows established quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Corporate Construction Manager reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Corporate Construction Manager builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Corporate Construction Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Construction Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Construction Office Manager/Administrator

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supervisory

    • When appropriate, identify the need for additional administrative staff. Assist in organizing roles & responsibility for any future administrative staff.
    • When appropriate, training & developing administrative support staff.

    General

    • Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the leadership team, including payroll.
    • Provides clerical support with assigned administrative duties such as answering phones, sorting and distributing mail, and preparing documents.
    • Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, schedules, reports and other documents for senior staff.
    • Arranges travel and accommodations.
    • Extends hospitality to visitors, employees and other guests to the office or company.
    • Basic Human Resources responsibilities including:
    • Provide job applications to all walk-in applicants
    • Conduct employment & reference verification per company policies
    • Ensure current employee records maintained & accurate
    • Assist with employee benefits administration.
    • Collaborates with leadership team to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
    • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
    • Creates awareness of open positions; manages posting jobs to job boards and social networking sites
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
    • Provides new hire onboarding support and facilitation including but not limited to orientation, new hire paperwork completion and training recommendations.
    • Assists with special projects as requested.
    • Performs office tasks including maintaining records, ordering supplies, and performing basic bookkeeping.
    • Creates and administers budgets for office supplies, equipment, and contract services.
    • Identifies opportunities for cost savings and improvements in assigned areas; recommends and implements policy or process changes as needed.
    • Prepare and coordinate reports
    • Handle company-wide communications
    • Implement and maintain Federal DOT records & requirements per current Federal law
    • Supports other related, varying needs of assigned departments and staff.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned by the leadership team and others.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • 2 years’ experience in administration, finance/accounting, and/or office management within a construction company
    • Experience in excavating, sitework, utilities, etc. is a plus
    • Knowledge of insurance (liability, workers compensation, employee benefits, etc.), risk assessment & management, and industry standards is required
    • Experience with payroll (including certified payroll) is a plus
    • Experience with HCSS is a plus
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
    • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting is preferred

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
