Follows established quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Corporate Construction Manager reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Corporate Construction Manager builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Corporate Construction Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     We are seeking a full time Service Manager join our team! This is a full-time, exempt position with a wage range of $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 depending on experience.

    Position Summary:

    As a Service Manager for our Heavy Equipment and Truck Shop, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the service operations of our equipment maintenance facility. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective maintenance and repair services for a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to dump trucks, excavators, loaders, forklifts, manlifts and various support equipment. Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of service quality, maximizing productivity, and fostering a positive working environment within the team.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of service technicians, mechanics, and support staff.
    • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance team capabilities and productivity.
    • Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and collaboration within the team.
    • Plan, organize, and prioritize service activities to meet field demands and service timelines.
    • Coordinate with the scheduling team to allocate resources effectively and optimize workflow.
    • Monitor service processes to ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for job teams, addressing maintenance requests, resolving issues, communicating repair process, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with job and equipment management teams to understand needs, timelines and provide creative service solutions.
    • Provide technical expertise and support to diagnose complex equipment issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions to ensure timely repairs.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and equipment specifications.
    • Manage inventory levels of parts, tools, and equipment to ensure availability for service activities.
    • Monitor, control and report on expenses related to parts procurement, labor, and other service-related costs.
    • Manage company CMMS and telematics software.
    • Provide regular reporting on shop performance to Equipment Management Team.
    • Optimize resource utilization to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
    • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of service quality and craftsmanship.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.

    Required Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
    • 5 years progressive experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a heavy equipment or transportation service environment.
    • Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment systems, components, and repair techniques.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
    • You must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License. CDL license carries preference.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and teamwork.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
