We seek to hire a Pre-Construction Manager (PCM) who will strengthen our company culture and represent the company well while successfully estimating and bidding new projects. As Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for studying and understanding the scope of work requested by the plans and specifications so you can create a complete and competitive bid. It is also the responsibility of the PCM to identify any challenges or potential areas of concern with constructability that may affect the bid. You will regularly collaborate and communicate with internal team members and external architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and the owners of the project. 

The candidate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Gather information, identify, and prioritize project bid requirements. 
• Complete estimates in accordance with assigned due dates.
• Prepare construction budgets.
• Prepare and send bid invitations to qualified subcontractors and suppliers.
• Create the preliminary construction schedule.
• Identify qualified subcontractors and suppliers and initiate and maintain relationships with them.
• Write, clarify, and verify scope for trades and suppliers.
• Attend pre-bid meetings with owners and architects, as needed.
• Gather information and keep it updated in the appropriate folders and data bases.

Requirements

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 5 years of successful light commercial/multi-family residential construction experience required.
• At least 3 years of construction estimating experience desired.
• Experience in sitework, concrete, masonry, and steel preferred. 
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
• CPE Certification is a plus. 
• Experience with civil and land development work is a plus.
• Ability to travel to and traverse existing jobsites to view existing conditions is a physical requirement. This may include traversing stairs or climbing ladders for inspection purposes.
