Corporate Construction Manager oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Follows established quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Corporate Construction Manager reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Corporate Construction Manager builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Corporate Construction Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Construction Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Summary: The Superintendent provides management of Subcontractors and works with the Denman Construction team to ensure that our high-quality standards are met to complete residential construction projects.

    Location: Whitefish, MT

    Salary: $60,000 DOE

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    - Provides site organization including identifying storage and staging areas; oversees site security, installation and maintenance of company signage and setup of temporary toilet, utility needs

    - Schedules all site work, material deliveries and inspections

    - Works with Project Manager to manage, modify and maintain a master project schedule. Looks forward to plan and anticipates construction progress

    - Works diligently to meet project schedules

    - Coordinates and facilitates onsite project meetings and agendas

    - Inspects jobsite daily for safety, cleanliness and to verify company standards for quality are met

    - Manages onsite trades, carpenters and laborers, oversees quality and directs daily tasks

    - Works to implement jobsite safety which includes daily jobsite inspections and provides awareness of jobsite hazards to all onsite personnel

    - Maintains jobsite records including daily logs with photos, RFI’s, submittals, safety inspections and accident/injury reports

    - Verifies timecards for proper cost coding

    - Meets with Project Manager weekly to update the project schedule, discuss pending decisions for timely resolution, review pending project change orders, review what new purchase orders need to be produced, and review budget variances on a weekly basis review budget detail and specifications, and cost coding

    - Ability to read plans and advise Owner and Design team on construction methods

    - Constantly aware of project budget, committed costs and contracted scopes of work

    - Communicates, follows and implements Denman policies and procedures, as required

    - Hand off completed project along with information management for homeowner’s manual

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Superintendent in the building industry
    • Communication: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Mathematics: An understanding of building mathematics and analytical skills
    • Building Industry: knowledge of building codes and procedures, inspection process and requirements, and proficiency in interpreting plans
    • Computer: Windows, Word, Excel, Project Management Software
    • Reasoning: Must be able to logically and creatively approach all aspects of position and provide same when consulting with others.
    • Other Skills & Abilities: Must work well in a team environment with other leaders in the organization. Must present a professional image and demonstrate a positive & proactive demeanor at the jobsite. Good management, communication and time management skills required.
    • Supervise 5-20 individuals on site
    • Physical Demands: Must be able to occasionally carry, push, pull, reach and lift materials, tools equipment and parts weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to occasionally crawl, climb or maneuver in attic or crawl spaces and roof
