Vonage, now a subsidiary and business division within Ericsson AB, is looking for an investment banking, private equity or management consulting associate / senior analyst to join our Corporate Strategy and Development team and help build out our cloud communications business.
The role will focus on corporate strategy and M&A.
As a strategist, you will help support development of short and long term strategies by reference to dynamics in the cloud communications industry (covering communications and collaboration as-a-service as well as communications platform as a service (CPaaS)), competitive developments and emerging trends. You will lead development of powerpoint-type presentations and excel analyses explaining such strategies. The role also requires driving alignment of our strategy with our financial forecast and budgets and establishing frameworks for their realization.
You will also drive several key M&A undertakings. These include tracking industry M&A activity, creating comparable company analysis, building valuation models and pro forma merger analysis, and creating M&A committee presentations.
The candidate’s primary day-to-day workloads will involve a substantial mix of building out financial analysis and creating powerpoint-type presentations in context of our strategy and M&A initiatives. You will study cloud communications and technology literature, analyze company performance by reviewing financial and operational data, support ongoing strategy and M&A priorities, and attend functional leadership meetings on business performance.
