Job Description:
Construction Project Manager specializing in residential and commercial construction project management.
Responsibilities:
● Operates professionally and naturally within the AFE culture
● Manage day-to-day customer, client and subcontractor interactions
● Determine and/or define scope of project and deliverables
● Oversee construction contract process (negotiations, agreements, signing, administration, etc.)
● Identify and manage project resources (suppliers/vendors, subcontractors, workers, materials, equipment)
● Responsible for identifying and securing required permits and licenses per project
● Prepare, submit and manage budgets, change orders, punch-lists and quality audits per project
● Coordinate and provide direction for subcontractors and site workers
● Create and manage construction schedule and activities
● Forecast revenue, profitability and project costs
● Responsible for project compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
● Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships
● Coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
● Manage time, cost and quality for assigned projects to minimize risk to AFE
● Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
● Must have a GED or high school diploma
● Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture preferred
● Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Construction Management
● Ability to effectively communicate and connect with customers and leadership
● Must have the ability to handle deadlines and manage multiple projects professionally
● Engage in cost management
● Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, and drawings
● Proficient with Microsoft Office (Microsoft 365) and Google Suites
● Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
● Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
● High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
● Strong leadership and management skills
