Corporate Construction Manager oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Follows established quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Corporate Construction Manager reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Corporate Construction Manager builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Corporate Construction Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Construction Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Corporate Construction Project Manager

    Megatel Homes is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager for our corporate office in Dallas, Texas. The right candidate will support day-to-day operations as well as support the corporate office and administrative team. Paired with the residential side of the company, Megatel Homes specializes in developing communities that include several aspects of living that include commercial construction of multi-family, and large amenity sites including water features, dining, and entertainment venues.  Founded in 2006, Megatel Homes has emerged as one of the most successful homebuilders in the country. We focus on providing quality homes with luxury amenities and exceptional customer service to the modern homebuyer.

    • Plans all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion.
    • Obtains all necessary regulations and permits.
    • Works closely with the Megatel legal team in establishing contract documents.
    • Manages Change Orders, RFI’s, pay applications.
    • Orders necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.
    • Makes sure projects are aligned with agreed-upon plans.
    • Manages a construction manager and oversees their work.
    • Communicates with clients and delivers project progress reports.
    • Develops and adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan.
    • Collaborates with architects, engineers, electricians, and other specialists.
    • Writes and submits testing and inspection logs, quality assurance reports, and punch lists.
    • Ensures that all local, state, and national building codes and regulations and safety precautions are followed.
    • Uses scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression.
    • Other Duties as Assigned

    Construction Project Manager Qualifications and Skills: 

    • Knows how to use popular construction project management software.
    • Builds strong relationships with clients, contractors, and construction workers.
    • Supervises a construction manager.
    • Excels at organization, time-management, problem-solving, and budgeting.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or similar education in construction science and management, engineering, architecture, business administration, or a related field.
    • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Outreach Training.
    • Construction Project Management certification.
    • Min. five years of construction experience.
