Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Giving Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary: Be part of a team that believes that the safety of our employees is our top priority. The Risk Control and Safety Manager is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, while following the OSHA, DOT and other federal & state standards and regulations. This individual will collaborate with management and employees to identify, assess and control workplace hazards, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and policies. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and implement safety programs, policies and procedures and taking ownership to ensure the health and safety of employees. You demonstrate strong leadership skills.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Your superpower is that you can see things no one else can see.
    • Train employees on safety procedures and protocols and ensure their understanding and compliance. You are meticulous and leave no stone unturned with regards to training. 
    • Lead investigations into workplace accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Your follow through is impeccable. 
    • Develop and maintain safety-related training materials and safety awareness programs. You are knowledgeable and have experience in this area making you the perfect person for the job!
    • Prepare and maintain safety records and reports, including accident/incident reports, OSHA 300 logs, and safety training records. 
    • Respond to safety-related inquiries and requests from employees, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. You have respect for authority and your response time is better than most.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate safety risks and recommend appropriate control measures. You are confident in what you know and can clearly convey a message to all staff.
    • Participate in emergency response planning and training and coordinate the response to emergency situations. 
    • Stay current with changes to relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to workplace health and safety. You are a sponge and eager to learn and stay up to date with government regulations.
    • Assist in DOT compliance and safety measures. You are well rounded in your experience and either already have knowledge in this area or are willing to learn to add this to your wheelhouse.
    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in safety management, environmental health, or related field. 
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in a safety coordination role, or a related field. 
    • Knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. 
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and communicate with employees and stakeholders at all levels. 
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential hazards and recommend effective control measures. 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experience with safety management software. 
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. 
    • Demonstrated commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
