Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Position Description
The Director of Communications & Annual Giving sets the strategic direction of the Goodman Community Center’s (GCC) communications and annual giving programs. The Director supervises a team of communications professionals who are responsible for all external print and digital communications, as well as organizational branding. Working closely with the Chief Development Officer, President and Executive Director, Development Department and Program colleagues, the Director of Communications and Annual Giving plays a critical role in telling Goodman’s story in our community, stewarding current donors, cultivating future donors, and developing and implementing a strategy to increase the size and number of individual gifts from community givers. We’re looking for someone who can bring their unique talents and perspective to Goodman, and we encourage candidates of color to apply.
