Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Giving Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Director – IT Applications will play an important role in the ongoing development, implementation, and administration of our key applications. Scope of responsibilities include gathering requirements and supporting front of house and back of house applications used by the Virgin Home Office Team (HOT), Hotels, and vendor partners such. These include, but are not limited to: PMS, CRM, Accounting, POS, Mobile App, etc. Being the Virgin Hotels Corporate Director of IT Applications means you are responsible for establishing standards and best practices for applications as a whole and ensures that these practices are used throughout the organization.

    What exactly you will be doing…

    In helping you understand your role in working for a world class organization, the following is a list of your essential job responsibilities. Please keep in mind that this list is not all inclusive and that you may be asked to perform other job tasks by your manager not listed below in the constant quest to provide “out of this world” customer service experience for our guests:

    • Proactively re-evaluates software processes and procedures to eliminate obstacles for users
    • Maintain and enhance property applications standards ensuring compliance throughout the portfolio
    • Remain abreast of hospitality technology trends in order to evaluate their possible integration into the Virgin Hotels eco system
    • Work closely with manage service provider and Director -IT Operations and Systems to understand and address application issues as they arise across the portfolio
    • Understand core business processes and translate them into delivery of new system capabilities
    • Maintain strong relationships with various partners in order to escalate and address issues as they arise
    • Identify process, efficiency, or system issues and to propose/implement solutions.
    • Work with business partners to ensure all changes to core systems are tested and certified in the test environment prior to placing into production in order to ensure accuracy and alignment with business processes
    • Actively engage in new property development ensuring applications are delivered according to brand standards
    • Continually evaluate processes to ensure team is capable of delivering reliable and effective solutions
    • Remain open-minded at all times and actively engage with leadership in order to deliver quality, timely and effective solutions for our business partners

    Background must-have:

    • Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States.
    • This is a hybrid role based out of Coconut Grove, FL (Miami).
    • Degree in Computer Science or, an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
    • Prior experience and/or foundational understanding of hotel/hospitality applications from both a corporate and property level is preferred.
    • Prior experience as a Corporate Director of Hospitality Applications focusing on implementation and integrations as related to CRM, PMS, POS, Accounting, Mobile App is strongly preferred.
    • Highly motivated to work both independently and with cross functional teams.
    • Strong communication skills; able to set expectations communicate status, progress on key initiatives to all levels of management/leadership.
    • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to identify and drive process/system improvements.
    • Willingness to travel as deemed necessary (national & international).
    • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
