Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Giving Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Sesame Workshop seeks a Manager, Global Corporate Giving, to join its dynamic development team. We have two openings available. The Corporate Giving team is focused on philanthropic giving from Corporations, Corporate Foundations and collaborates on CSR/Retail opportunities globally. The team also works with brand teams (e.g., agencies, brand marketing, corporate communication teams) and aligns with intermediary organizations that help with funder matchmaking as part of Sesame Workshop’s overall philanthropic goals. This position will report to a Senior Director of Global Corporate Giving and be responsible for a wide range of business development activities, the most significant of which are: driving processes around prospecting, concept, and proposal development, and managing a portfolio of donors and partners including reporting and donor stewardship.
