Corporate Giving Manager jobs in Erie, PA

Corporate Giving Manager identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and develops strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Manager manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops and launches employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Manager maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Giving Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Your Work Will Include:

    • Identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to promote and positively represent the organization through internal and external communication.

    • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for communicating on behalf of the organization that represents the corporate identity and supports the organization’s mission.

    • Seeking new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including special events, community service, and other topics of interest.

    • Developing and implementing a communications strategy for the corporation that builds and maintains a positive corporate brand.

    • Oversees the corporate external and internal websites including message, ease of navigation, and clarity of information; ensures content is current and relevant.

    • Providing consistent and timely information to employees through various communications programs.

    • Collaborating with the creative department to develop and execute compelling internal and external storytelling initiatives through various visual media, video, and audio productions, contributing to the process from conceptualization to scripting, and final delivery.

    • Manages and cultivates relationships with local and national organizations that support our vision through partnerships.

    • Representing the organization in a variety of settings, always promoting it in the best possible way.

    • Acting as corporate spokesperson and responds to members of the media in a timely manner; composes and distributes press releases as needed.

    • Developing and maintaining positive professional relationships with various members of the media.

    Qualifications

    A Qualified Candidate Will Have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or related field.

    • Two years of experience in marketing, publications, or a related field required.

    • Superior ability to write in a style that is customary for corporate and external publications.

    • Experience with social media for corporate communications.

    • Ability to work with corporate management, employees, media, and the larger community.

    • Ability to think creatively.

    • Ability to adapt and respond to difficult questions and issues.

    • Ability to coordinate efforts of various teams to present a coherent message.
