Corporate Giving Manager identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and develops strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Manager manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops and launches employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Manager maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Giving Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Manager – Corporate Accounting (US)

    As the Manager of the Domestic Corporate Accounting team, you will be responsible for the review and analysis of all domestic activities, along with the management and development of the team which supports these activities. In addition to supporting the continuous accounting process for domestic entities, you will also be responsible for supporting monthly management reporting, audit activities, and other financial compliance activities. 

     

    This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Redlands, CA. For candidates not located in the immediate area, relocation assistance may be available.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the month and year-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing of journal entries and accruals, and ensuring the accuracy of all supporting reconciliations
    • Provide ongoing variance analysis as part of our continuous accounting methodology
    • Leading continued process improvement initiatives to gain efficiencies and improve internal controls; this also includes documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions, financial reporting, and monthly allocations
    • Manage a team of staff accountants; this includes playing a key role in developing the accounting team and department strategic initiatives
    • Interact closely with FP&A and effectively communicate transactions that will impact results and forecasts, including short range outlooks and annual and long-range plan development processes
    • Support operational areas that have a direct impact on the domestic accounting activities, such as AP, Assets, and other accounting transactional functions

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting with 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree in accounting with 6 years of progressive experience 
    • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Familiarity with accounting financial statements with the ability to prepare and analyze financial statements
    • High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
    • Ability to develop strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot and pivot tables

    Recommended Qualifications

    • Advanced business degree
    • Active CPA license or in process on license
    • Experience with SAP or other large ERP system
