Corporate Giving Manager identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and develops strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Manager manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops and launches employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Manager maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Giving Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    The Corporate Events Manager is responsible for assisting and providing support for the Corporate Meeting & Events Team in planning, managing, and executing external, large, high-profile events and assisting or managing applicable internal WHQ events. This position will be apart of the Corporate Meetings and Events Team and will have contact with all levels of employees and senior leaders within the company.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Event management assistance for external and internal Meetings & Events, providing day to day administrative functions as communicated.
    • Joint responsibility for the logistics, planning and execution of all corporate meetings and events, partnering with the Corporate Meetings & Events Leader for external events and partnering with the Internal Events Lead with internal meetings & events, as needed.
    • Budgets for large events
      • Work with the Corporate Meetings & Events Leader, by tracking the overall budgets for event costs and expenses.
    • Assist with planning and on-site execution of annual events:
    • Leadership Meeting, National Sales Meeting, Chairman’s Club Event, Service Awards Program, Investor Day event and others as needed.
    • Assist with planning and on-site execution of internal annual events and occasional events that occur at the WHQ office:
      • Affinity Group events, LPGA events, holiday events, annual supplier event, business team socials, etc.
    • Assist with other miscellaneous events that might occur on or off-site, as directed by the Corporate Meeting & Events Leader or Corporate Events Lead.
    • Manage the internal Corporate Meetings & Events site (information center)
    • Update as needed with industry and specific corporate event details to maintain the information center for all event planners at corporate
    • Administratively support the Chairman’s Club in all projects and work throughout the year.
    • Assist in developing scalable event strategies, leverage best practices and processes, and propose initiatives that anticipate and reflect the changing needs of the company
    • Partner with internal planners and administrators to define event objectives, schedules, required resources and measures of success for all events
    • Assist in development of effective event promotion and execution strategies
    • Co-manage all relevant vendor and staff resources on-site to ensure flawless execution of events. Monitor activities to ensure compliance with applicable OC Corporate Events Standards, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise

    JOB REQUIREMENTS


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    :

    • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, marketing, or similar field.
    • 5 years of project management experience.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3-5 years of event planning experience in a corporate, association or hotel environment.
    • Ability to handle various logistics for events, including but not limited to, food & beverage, room blocks, ground transportation, event surveys, registration, and on-site support during event.
    • Adhering to and maintaining budgets; processing invoices.
    • Excellent vendor management skills.
    • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification is a plus
