Corporate Giving Manager identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and develops strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Manager manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops and launches employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Manager maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Giving Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position Summary
The corporate giving manager leads the Capital Society, the Museum’s corporate and association giving program, to secure unrestricted and restricted medium and major gifts for general operating support, as well as fundraises for the Honor Award, education programs (including the Big Build and the Big Draw), exhibitions, and other initiatives. The Manager will craft effective strategies to engage existing donors and cultivate new partnershipsincluding prospect identification, direct solicitation (verbal and written), cultivation, and stewardshipensuring that relationships are nurtured and maintained for the benefit of the Museum. This position reports to the Director of Corporate Giving & Strategic Partnerships and works closely with other members of the Development team.
