Corporate Insurance Manager manages an organization's overall insurance programs. Analyzes insurance needs by identifying risk exposures and analyzing and classifying risks to provide optimum coverage, costs and claim settlements. Being an Corporate Insurance Manager conducts regular policy reviews, research and compile loss trends, review actuarial estimations. Administers systems to collect data and generate meaningful models and reporting to support decisions. Additionally, Corporate Insurance Manager coordinates policy renewals and applications. May administer self- insured plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Under general direction, sets up, maintains and renews personal lines insurance policies; handles client inquires; issues endorsements and certificates; works with underwriters, claims adjusters and other insurer personnel; utilizes a computer to maintain records, correspondence and pending files; and maintains a high level of customer service and quality control.
Possession of required California Insurance License is required; must attend periodic training to maintain license. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree (AA) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school is preferred. Two (2) years of experience as a CSR or similar function in an insurance office or agency is required.
