Job Summary Solicit and secure corporate, civic, and religious group opportunities to enhance operations, program, capital, administrative and special project support to promote the advancement of the mission of FosterAdopt Connect. This includes increased financial contributions and volunteerism while increasing the visibility our organization in the community. Requires effective portfolio management via regularly visiting/communicating with an established portfolio and prospect list while maintaining successful stewardship and cultivation of the existing sponsor base.
Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Lead corporate development/engagement opportunities, including soliciting financial support through sponsorships, engaging companies in volunteer activities, managing corporate relationships
- Advance agency priorities by securing corporate/foundation support through direct funding, gifts in-kind, or other agreements
- Cultivate strategic relationships with corporate stakeholders. Includes identifying high caliber volunteer leadership individuals in coordination with the Director of Community Impact, Director of Community Engagement and Executive Leadership
- Represent FosterAdopt Connect by attending meetings of local civic organizations
- Meet unrestricted and campaign annual goals
- Work as a team to meet volunteer board/s participation goals
- Plan and implement annual program designed to maximize contact with potential corporate sponsors and giving prospects
- Develop, coordinate, implement funder site visits
- Responsible for all corporate sponsorship solicitations, and coordinate with other gift officers and grants team
- Draft letters of inquiry, stewardship reports, and other documents
- Establish, manage, fulfill a portfolio communication plan, including fundraising goals and strategies to effectively steward, cultivate, solicit gifts
- Develop and implement overall annual strategies for corporate, civic, and religious organization donor engagement and solicitation
- Track cultivation/fundraising activities through existing databases and systems and generate reports to share with colleagues and senior management
- Manage reporting requirements for all corporate/foundation gifts
- Create contact reports and next steps in Donor Perfect. Work with database manager to accurately document gifts/pledges
- Collaborate with Grants Manager where corporate or foundational crossover cooperation exist
- Meet with program leaders and other stakeholders to gather information to develop detailed and compelling proposals
- Create an awareness education campaign and marketing program utilizing newsletters, email, webinars, etc.
- Create a plan to follow up with all corporate leads from marketing efforts
- Mentor other gift officers and assist them in identifying giving prospects within corporations in their portfolios and in making asks
Administrative Leadership & Management
- Maintain strong, open communication with direct supervisor regarding services
- Demonstrate commitment to the mission and core values of FAC, and willingness to perform other duties as required
- Participate in staff meetings and assist other program staff
- Participate as an active team member with colleagues of all demographics in order to effectively and efficiently serve clients.
- Participate as an active team member with all agency departments and attend meetings
- Model ethical and professional behavior at all times

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree is preferred; CFRE preferred.
- 5-7 years of front-line fundraising experience with demonstrated success in corporate and foundation relations; child welfare industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in building strong professional relations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to interface effectively with corporate and foundation representatives, as well as internal stakeholders.
- Resourceful and able to collaborate with internal and external constituents at all levels
- Self-motivated with the ability to think and plan strategically
- Excellent attention to detail; strong organizational/problem-solving skills.
- Proactive approach that is donor-centric, responsive, and actively seeks to deepen current donor relationships and forge new ones
- Proficient in Donor Perfect, or similar CRM, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Outstanding organizational and planning skills
- Solid commitment to the principles of support and advocacy for foster and adoptive families
- Experience working with marginalized communities with a nuanced understanding of systemic oppressions
