About the Role:
You will have a unique skill set with 15 years' experience in investor relations and corporate communications within the biotech and life science industry. You will be a part of the Biotech Leadership Team, and will oversee a supervisory group initially comprised of 5-8 employees including 2-3 direct reports. You are comfortable engaging with several important audiences: CEO/CFO/CBO of biotechnology organizations; investors, analysts and bankers within financial community; and internal team members. You will develop and implement an investor communications strategy for the agency to grow the investor relations offering at the agency and mentor our communications specialists. You will develop relationships with clients and members of the financial community, produce new business leads within the industry, and contribute to the growth of our IR practice. You will bring extensive experience working directly with the CEO and CFO of life science organizations to understand and better explain the story they are telling to the investment community. You are experienced in the structure and development of investor presentations, quarterly financial communications, and binary clinical data press releases. EVPs are exposed to the many facets of the biotech and life science ecosystem and have the opportunity to flex their creative problem-solving skills using all the resources of the agency in the strategic communications process. This is a hybrid office/virtual position based in either New York City or San Diego. You will have the ability to manage your own schedule to work from home and in the office, with the expectation for working in the office 2-3 days per week. You will report to a Managing Director.
