JOB SUMMARY
The Corporate Controller plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial activities and reporting of the company and its subsidiaries and ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization. The Corporate Controller reports directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance and collaborates closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and compliance with regulatory requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES
•Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
•Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulatory standards.
•Provide timely and accurate financial reports to management and external stakeholders.
•Prepare and oversee the preparation and posting of journal entries to accurately record financial transactions in the general ledger in compliance with accounting standards.
•Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial data and trends.
•Establish and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
•Coordinate external audits and examinations, providing necessary documentation and support.
•Oversee cash management activities, including monitoring cash flows, optimizing working capital by administering the accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, and supporting banking relationships.
•Develop and maintain a comprehensive cash flow forecasting model to project the company's future cash inflows and outflows and identify potential liquidity issues or opportunities for optimizing cash management.
•Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
•Work closely with the HR department to ensure accurate and timely contributions to both the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and the 401(k) retirement plans.
•Coordinate with the company's ESOP third-party administrators to process contributions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
•Evaluate the company's insurance needs and work with insurance brokers to secure appropriate coverage for property, liability, and other risks.
•Create and/or provide input to plans, strategies, and financial goals of a department or business unit to satisfy internal as well as external customers.
•Ensure priorities are handled effectively by modifying plans and actions of the accounting department.

MINIMUM EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in a senior accounting or financial management role, with at least 5 years of experience in a corporate environment.
