The Behavioral Health Secretary will play a crucial role in promoting a positive and supportive environment for both our staff and clients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the behavioral health department including managing correspondence, drafting documents, and organizing files.
    • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule appointments for clients, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
    • Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, treatment plans, and other relevant documentation in compliance with confidentiality guidelines.
    • Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, staff, and external parties, conveying information effectively and professionally through various channels such as phone, email, and in-person interactions.
    • Billing and Insurance: Assist with billing processes and insurance claims, verifying coverage, and addressing any billing-related inquiries or issues.
    • Support Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the behavioral health team to facilitate smooth workflow and ensure timely delivery of services.
    • Client Support: Provide friendly and empathetic assistance to clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests with sensitivity and professionalism.
    • Data Entry and Reporting: Enter data accurately into relevant systems and generate reports as needed to support decision-making and monitoring of departmental activities.
    • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA regulations, to maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Previous experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
    • Proficiency in office software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
