Correctional Officer enforces rules and regulations in a prison, jail or other holding facility. Presides over prisoners awaiting trial or those who have been convicted of a crime. Being a Correctional Officer oversees prisoner conduct and safety. Supervises prisoners during meals, recreation, work and other daily activities. Additionally, Correctional Officer documents violations and takes appropriate disciplinary actions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Correctional Officer possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Correctional Registered Nurse Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and procedures
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting observations and reporting any changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care
- Assist in the coordination of patient care, including scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Correctional Registered Nurse Experience:
- Experience in tube feeding and administering injections
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Case management experience
- Familiarity with esthetic laser treatment, mammography, cardiac catheterization, medical office procedures, vital signs monitoring, and sterile processing
Correctional Registered Nurse Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
