    Position Summary
    The Maintenance Cost Controller receives project plans and works with Planners and Coordinators to provide visibility on forecasted cost. The Maintenance Cost Controller is proficient in managing data from multiple sources and automating processes when appropriate. All maintenance-related projects are in the $500k range supporting onsite operations. The Maintenance Cost Controller utilizes cost control methods to forecast, estimate, and track labor and materials costs against budgets. In addition, this position works with other cost controllers, planners, and Team Leads in various departments to collect and present comprehensive cost and schedule data to management on a regular basis.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Translate project plans into estimates which can be maintained, reviewed, and tracked against.
    • Develop both standardized and customized data reports through scripting, PowerBI, Excel macros, and other data visualization tools.
    • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Liaise with managers, engineers, and third parties to discuss the progress of the projects and address any issues that arise.
    • Use project management tools to draft and share plans, forecasts, and progress reports, including cost data.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task; ability to be flexible and adapt to change
    • Strong skills to consolidate and organize project data from multiple sources and develop various data reports; familiarity with programming and scripting languages in order to automate data reports
    • Self-starter who is process oriented and data driven; results oriented and proactive
    • Ability to resolve conflict to successful conclusion
    • Proficiency with SharePoint and Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), including manipulation of data in Excel using pivot tables
    • Awareness of databases e.g. SAP, Access, etc.
    • Awareness of planning tools such as Primavera (P6)
    • Awareness of analytics tools such as Power BI; ability to load data into Power BI and create visuals.
    • Familiarity with Project control aspects such as work orders, purchase orders, and WBS structures
    • Excellent communication skills and “enterprise first” behaviors
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Strong customer service orientation, ensuring needs are met in a timely fashion
    • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) prior to the first day of employment
    • Ability to pass drug screening test prior to the first day of employment
    • Ability to meet the eligibility requirements for working in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status
    • Ability to pass refinery safety overview (RSO) training prior to first day of employment (e.g. an RSO training course provided by the Occupational Safety Councils of America)

    Language Skills
    • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
