Cost Accountant jobs in Hopkinsville, KY

A Japanese chemical manufacturer in KY is seeking a cost accountant who has 2-4 years of cost accounting, general accounting and/or finance experience and bachelor's degree in accounting is highly desired, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position will be responsible for supporting various aspects of Finance and Accounting with emphasis of costing through ensuring compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control while conforming to established policies of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and 2-4 years of 2-4 years of accounting/finance experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with cost accounting software
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
• Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
• Highly detail-oriented
• Ability to travel occasionally
