• $60K – $70K (depending on experience)
• First Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (Hybrid Option available a few days per week)

What You'll Do as a Cost Accountant:

• Translate complex cost accounting data into clear and actionable insights for management.
• Become an expert in inventory management by analyzing records and variance reports.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting through monthly and annual closing procedures.
• Maintain meticulous records: identify and rectify errors in manufacturing data.
• Oversee fixed asset reports and support property tax preparations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to streamline accounting processes and achieve company objectives.
• Play a vital role in crafting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile accounts for raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
• Partner with production and purchasing to establish annual standard costs and labor rates.
• Prepare and review general ledger entries, ensuring account accuracy.
• Take initiative on special projects assigned by senior leadership.

The Preferred Candidate Might:

• Be capable of working in an office setting within a food processing facility
• Have a BS/BA in Accounting
• Have 5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Have 5 years of AP, AR, and GL experience
• Be proficient in accounting software (NetSuite preferred)
• Have strong PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Have excellent communication skills
