Cost Accounting Manager jobs in Asheville, NC

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager oversees and manages the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the Company.

• Perform monthly and annual accounting close and reconciliation processes.
• Oversee all accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements & summaries.
• Provide weekly KPI data to leadership team.
• Conduct regular cash flow monitoring and projection.
• Assist with financial analysis, forecasts, and budgeting as needed.
• Manage banking, insurance, supplier, and other Company relationships.
• Work with sales, marketing, and product development teams to optimize the Company’s systems.
• Produce quarterly sales tax reports.
• Assist external CPA firm with year-end accounting and tax preparation.

Technical and Personal Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least three (3) years of experience in business accounting with a manufacturing background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, banking processes, and analysis and reporting of financial data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks and other financial software and database systems.
• Experience in budget development, fiscal planning, and strategy.
• Ability to effectively communicate financial information to employees, shareholders, and other interested parties.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.
