With warehouse facilities in several states and service reps covering all regions of the country, there isn't a retail location we can't service.  

 For this role, we’ll look to you to:  

• Help manage inventory control teams at distribution centers to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Report on and analyze daily cycle counts in all warehouses and wall to wall physical inventory counts.
• Verification and review of costing accuracy.
• Identify slow moving/obsolete issues and calculate obsolescence reserve amount.
• Become the expert of consignment inventory.
• Investigate discrepancies and report potential issues to management. 
• Work closely with operations team to understand impact of product changes.
• Maintain compliance for all areas of responsibility.
• Ensure transactional activity is timely and accurately recorded in the general ledger.
• Ensure general ledger accounts are accurately and consistently reconciled for all business units in a timely manner.
• Ensure necessary reporting is provided on financial data, ensure all requested reporting (ad-hoc and routine) is completed timely and contains accurate information.
• Maintain cost layers (FIFO) within ERP.
• Analyze overall inventory risk, E&O reserves, and inventory life-cycle management.
• Work with external audit firm to conduct annual audits.
• Promote, develop, and maintain effective communication, interaction, and excellent relationships with internal customers, including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

The gross salary range is $115,000-$120,000 plus bonus. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.  Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications: 

 Required: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 5-10 years cost accounting/audit experience.
• Strong team player that has a direct approach and is solution oriented.
• Have initiative, strive for continuous improvement.
• Clear understanding of change management abilities. This should include participating in the development of solutions which require comprehensive shifts in operational practices.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, accounting practices and theories.
• Knowledge of financial reports and ability to make recommendations and decisions based on financial data.
• Strong knowledge of preparation and review of general ledger account reconciliations.
• Familiar with monthly, quarterly financial reports including P&L review.
• Experience with inventory accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Minimum Internal Control Standards.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Preferred:

• Previous Knowledge and experience with financial systems, Oracle R12
• Experience with consignment inventory
• Previous experience working in a similar setting
• CPA
