Position Description:
JOB SUMMARY
This position will support the Anvil project management and engineering team to deliver projects successfully. The Project Controls Cost Analyst Jr provides information to the project leader to develop budgets for all projects. Monitors progress and works with the Project Controls team to report to Anvil and external stakeholders on the progress and forecast of the project. Identifies and makes suggestions to solve issues of scope change and performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Works with team members on the day to day maintenance of the companies integrated project control system which is used to: 1) develop the scope, and estimate/budget the engineering effort to execute the scope; and 2) report progress and performance against the scope and budget.
- Coordinates the preparation of:
- Engineering cost estimates
- Weekly engineering progress and performance reports
- Weekly engineering cost reports
- Engineering change logs
- Supports the Program Manager to provide:
- Oversight of engineering projects to ensure they are operating within project control guidelines
- Monthly resource level staff (manpower) planning
- Monthly reporting of key performance indicators (KPI) to companys management
Monthly review of companys billings to clients

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of earned value management methodology
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication skills
- Work well in a team environment
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Project skills
- Experience working in the oil and gas industry preferred
- Primavera (P6) skills are preferred
- Microsoft Access skills preferred

Willingness and ability to travel on short duration assignments
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management, preferred;
- OR Minimum 1 to 5 years in industrial engineering and/or industrial construction project work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
- Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering phones.
- Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
