What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree; Preferably in Business Administration or Finance
- Two years related experience preferred; preferably in a health care environment
- Strong Excel Skills
- CPA, CMA and CFP exam is recommended
Job Summary:
A Finance Analyst interacts with department directors and hospital management in conjunction with the Director of Finance to provide relevant, accurate, and timely information. Performs research, collects data, and skillfully organizes and presents the analysis to management in written or oral format. Demonstrates the ability to exercise objective, independent judgement in developing financial recommendations for management. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Qualifications
You Will Be Responsible For:

- Meet deadlines for established goals in an accurate and efficient manner for all areas of responsibility.
- Provide support and assistance in developing and communicating actionable information at all levels of the organization and assist in developing business plans and strategies with management based on the information.
- Focus on process improvement strategies of financial outcomes in support of process initiatives.
- Compiling monthly financial reporting and providing summary analysis as needed to explain financial statements to multiple levels of hospital staff and management.
- Provide coaching to co-workers appropriately and effectively as part of overall responsibility.
- Demonstrate the ability to coordinate projects as required in conjunction with the manager and staff.
- Ensures all documentation is current for all areas of responsibility.
- Coordinates projects by maintaining a project plan and anticipating potential roadblocks that staff may encounter and taking corrective action so projects are completed on time.
- Reviews and validates financial information, assumptions and methodology based on a thorough understanding of financial concepts, healthcare principles and AdventHealth Hospital systems.
- Demonstrates ability to help staff to frame issues and apply analytical and critical thinking skills to problem resolution.
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
