Onin Staffing is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our customer's organization and manage

the cost control processes and procedures. As the Cost Controller, you will play a vital role in optimizing

operational efficiency, controlling expenses, and ensuring profitability across the organization. This

position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

1. Cost Analysis and Reporting:

• Monitor and analyze all aspects of cost control, including supplies, labor costs,

overhead expenses, and inventory management.

• Conduct regular cost variance analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, cost summaries, and forecasts for management review.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and forecasts for each

location.

• Track actual performance against budgeted targets and provide insightful analysis and

recommendations for cost optimization.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose strategies to enhance profitability and operational

efficiency.

3. Inventory Management:

• Oversee and implement effective inventory control systems and procedures, ensuring accuracy, proper

documentation, and timely reconciliations.

• Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize waste, spoilage, and shrinkage.
• Analyze inventory levels, usage patterns, and procurement practices to optimize inventory turnover

and reduce carrying costs.

4. Vendor Management:

• Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate pricing and terms, and develop strong relationships with key

suppliers.

• Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure compliance with purchasing policies and

procedures.

• Conduct periodic vendor reviews to assess cost-effectiveness and explore alternative sourcing options.

5. Cost Control Policies and Procedures:

• Develop and implement cost control policies and procedures to enhance financial discipline and

standardize practices across the organization.

• Provide training and guidance to managers and staff on cost control best practices and

procedures.

• Monitor compliance with cost control policies and identify areas of non-compliance, implementing

corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional

certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably in the retail,

restaurant or hospitality industry.

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and inventory

management practices.

• Proficiency in using financial software and advanced spreadsheet tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify trends and patterns in

financial data.

• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
