As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join the finance team.Position Overview:The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on cost data, implementing cost control measures, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization.Responsibilities:Analyze production costs and variances, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction opportunities.Prepare and maintain cost reports, including standard cost updates and variance analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain cost standards for materials, labor, and overhead.Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciling inventory accounts and preparing journal entries.Conduct regular audits of inventory and manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting policies and procedures.Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to cost accounting practices.Stay current with industry trends and best practices in cost accounting and recommend process improvements as necessary.
