Job Summary

The cost specialist provides estimate development and analysis, cost analysis, forecasting, contract and procurement support and project close out for all services and materials associated with major projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create cost reports utilizing SAP, work and cost breakdown management to track actuals, forecast, report discrepancies and identify trends.
• Refresh & troubleshoot Power BI dashboards associated with Routine Cost and Metrics
• Analyze and steward actual costs to budget on a monthly basis, including variance analysis and year-end projections with guidance from stakeholders
• Collaborate with Business Team to determine vulnerabilities and budget givebacks
• Collaborate with finance team to perform accounting adjustments as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within discipline or equivalent professional experience
• Previous experience in a closely related position
• Skills to negotiate and broker successful solutions between Internal Coordination parties above
• Basic level proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning and Project Controls
• Strong Influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
• Adaptability to changing priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $50 -68 $ per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Please Note:

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state requires minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
