Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Analyst to join our team. The Cost Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, conducting cost analysis, and providing insights to support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial annalistic with some construction cost experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cost analysis to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports on variances, trends, and forecasts
- Conduct cash flow analysis and monitor budgetary performance
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis
-Maintain meetings with the construction department to gain more knowledge on acceptable pricing
-Create a category lead dashboard comparing multiple operations on key metrics of labor and material costs including results against predetermined goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide financial insights
- Become involved in development projects by preparing budgets and the project scop
- Assist in the development of financial models and projections
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Cost Analyst or similar role
- Experience with tracking contractor's cost to have an accurate project forecast
- Proficiency in conducting financial analysis, including debits/credits and cost calculations
- Experience with cash flow analysis and budgeting processes
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations
