    Position Overview: Clinical therapist will provide outpatient individual and optional group therapy to patients of Canary Counseling, LLC. Clinical therapy services include treatment of children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. We are currently looking for a clinician who has experience in working with Perinatal Mental Health, or a clinician who has experience working with children, adolescents, teens, or college students.     Reports to: Practice Owner

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    · Perform on-site clinical counseling services to patients of Canary Counseling, LLC, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.

    · Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.

    · Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Canary Counseling, LLC.

    · Respond to patients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Canary Counseling, LLC website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients or referring out when appropriate.

    · Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality

    · With proper releases in place, communicate with outside treatment teams as necessary.

    · Timely completion of written records for each patient.

    · Proficiency in diagnosis, coding and overall documentation

    · Charge and collect payments from patients on day services are provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Canary Counseling, LLC.

    · Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Canary Counseling, LLC.

    · Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Canary Counseling, LLC. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.

    • Openness to attend community events that allow Canary Counseling to be connected to and give back to the community.

    · Other duties may be assigned.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    · Align with Canary Counseling, LLC mission, vision, values, and overall culture of practice environment.

    · Must be punctual in reporting to work.

    · Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and active provisional license to practice as a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia. A copy must be provided to Canary Counseling, LLC.

    · Available to hold at least 15 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by self or Canary Counseling, LLC.

    · Be organized and detail oriented.

    · Be a team player.

    · Be able to work independently on tasks assigned.

    · Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

    · Prior experience in a private practice setting highly preferred.

    · Preference given to any clinician with training, experience, or focused interest in working with the Perinatal population.

    · Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, grief, anger management, etc.).
