Counseling Secretary

A position has been declared open in Weber School District at Weber High School for a  Counseling Secretary. This position is for 8 hours per day, 9 months per year. Applicants may apply on wsd.tedk12.com/hire. Files will be reviewed before interviews are scheduled.

The job of a Counseling Secretary was established for the purpose of assisting their assigned School Counselor.

Essential Functions

• Assists the School Counselor with duties such as group counseling, lesson preparation and data collection.
• Supports the School Counselor by preforming duties as assigned.
• Attendance is an essential function of this job opportunity. 

Other Functions

• Assists other school personnel as required for the purpose of supporting the School Counseling Program.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Must be able to operate standard office and computer equipment.
• Must have knowledge of concepts of stages of child development
• Must be able to communicate with diverse groups; maintaining confidentiality, and working with constant interruptions

Experience: Job related experience is desired.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
