PURPOSE:
Wait on customers in a courteous and cordial manner, which insures customer confidence, to solicit additional sales to maximum efficiency for the business. Represent and promote the store operations in an up-beat manner, which insures outstanding customer service. Sell Eagle Point Hardware goods and services at all times
• Enter new or look up existing customer in rental computer system.
• To understand rental contracts given to customers.
• Demonstrate how to use all rental equipment to customers so they leave the store feeling confident to operate the equipment.
• Demonstrate safety procedures for operation.
• Understand rental procedures as trained.
• Able to take phone reservations, asking appropriate questions to customer so they are ready when the get here.
• Know the correct size of ball or truck needed to rent equipment.
• Complete knowledge of each piece of equipment rented out. Be able to talk and help customers understand what they need to get the job done.
• Able to communicate with customers to find out their rental needs.
• Turn around, service and clean all equipment, use safety goggles and gloves when needed.
• Maintain all rental equipment and rental area.
• Able to communicate with co-workers to insure operations run smoothly day in day out.
• Immediately greet every customer upon arrival in the store.
• Assist customers in their needs and demonstrate concern.
• Make sales transactions quickly and accurately.
• Develop the ability of “Suggestive Selling.”
• Maintain stock on shelves.
• Account for inventory during vendor check-ins.
• Spare time is spent in housekeeping of rental area, counters, aisles, shelves, inventory and receiving areas.(See daily tasks)
• Treat customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Develop the ability to read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash registers, computers and other equipment.
• Develop the ability to understand and use equipment to provide bulk items sold to customers.
Job Purpose:

• Verifies revenue by reconciling rental agreements with receipts; forwarding to accounting.
• Maintains service operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Lift up to 100 pounds.
• The environment is inside and outside in all kinds of weather.
• Computer experience and knowledge.
• The ability to work standing up on concrete floor for long periods of time.
