Rental Clerks are responsible for operating our rental stand. The rental clerk assists customers in renting kayaks and making reservations for kayak tours.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
You must be customer service driven This means you will continually go above and beyond the call of duty to help our customers. You should be friendly, courteous, and kind(just like the scouts). You should make eye contact and greet each person that walks past our rental stand.
Personal appearance should be neat and clean at all times. When possible clothing and lifestyles reflected by our shop should be reflected in your appearance. Since lifting and helping customers launch kayaks is part of the job appropriate clothing should be worn. Shorts and a t-shirt are appropriate. T-shirts should not advertise other businesses on the island. The wear of RTW T-shirts is encouraged. Since your feet will be getting wet, strap on sandals are encouraged. You are discouraged from going barefoot.
Knowledge of our services is a must. You should be able to explain the differences in the boats we rent and also be able to describe our tours in detail. While product training will be provided, the employee should take the initiative to learn more about our products.
All Ride The Wind Surf Shop team members must be able to operate autonomously to be successful in their position. This means you must take the initiative to constantly work to improve the performance of the shop.
JOB DUTIES:
The rental clerk duties include but are not limited to the following: Selling rentals and tours, completing rental/tour paperwork, keeping all equipment clean and in good repair, maintaining a professional looking area, assisting customers in carrying and launching kayaks, making kayak deliveries.
