Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Court Clerk. The Court Clerk will provide administrative support to the court system, assisting with legal documentation, data entry, and customer service. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the court proceedings. Responsibilities: - Prepare and process legal documents, such as summonses, subpoenas, and warrants - File and maintain court records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality - Assist with scheduling court hearings and managing court calendars - Perform data entry tasks to update case information in the court database - Provide excellent customer service to attorneys, judges, and members of the public - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding court procedures - Assist in organizing and maintaining court files and exhibits - Collaborate with other court personnel to ensure efficient workflow Qualifications: - Previous experience in an office or legal environment preferred - Knowledge of legal drafting and terminology is a plus - Strong file management skills with attention to detail - Proficient in data entry and word processing software - Excellent organizational and time management abilities - Strong interpersonal skills for effective customer service interactions - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information - Paralegal certification or relevant coursework is desirable Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
