Additionally, Court Clerk typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Court Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The City of Overland Park has a full-time Court Clerk position available in the Municipal Court Department.
Responsibilities:
Performs all clerical and customer service duties related to the daily operation of the Municipal Court. May include any of the following duties: processes daily financial transactions; creates and maintains electronic case files, scans hard copies to the electronic record; audits files, schedules court appearances or appointments for alcohol/drug assessment, prepares and completes all documentation for cases after judge's rulings, probation and diversion intake, alcohol/drug assessments, inventories and orders office supplies.
Requirements:
Bilingual preferred. Additional compensation provided for those who successfully pass bilingual proficiency testing. Recertification is required every three years.
No City residency requirement.
Must successfully pass a thorough background check, drug screen and physical exam.
Normal Work Hours: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Mon.-Fri.
Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00/hour
