Job Summary/Description:
KALB in Alexandria, Louisiana is seeking an experienced Journalist to join our team as a Weekend Anchor & Reporter. In this role you will work closely with news management and producers to create high-quality stories with integrity and accuracy.
Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
-Gathering information on local and national newsworthy events
-Create and present accurate, fair, unbiased news content as assigned
-Develop and maintain a network of news sources to create exclusive local news content
-Stay current on local and national news events
-Ability to be a creative thinker and find new ways to present information
-Demonstrated ability of good news judgment
-Ability to demonstrate professional interaction with all levels of station and corporate management while working well with producers, reporters and production staff
Qualifications/Requirements:-BS/BA in Journalism/Communications or equivalent
-Flexibility with scheduling and/or assigned work shifts
