Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sports Reporter to join our team. As a Sports Reporter, you will be responsible for covering the different high school sports in the coverage area. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's mission of delivering accurate and engaging local sports coverage to our audience.
Sports reporters are needed to cover Waupaca and Portage County high school varsity games. The position can be either full-time or part-time and entails reporting and shooting photos of games, festivals and parades, writing feature stories on athletes and coaches.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field preferred
- Proven experience in journalism or related field
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt writing style for different platforms
- Experience in copywriting and editing
- Knowledge of photography and video production techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with social media management tools and strategies
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work
