Court Reporter documents court proceedings by using a stenotype machine. May require completion of a 2-4 year training program at a vocational school. Being a Court Reporter has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Court Reporter works under immediate supervision. We are currently seeking Certified Court Reporters available for both live and remote proceedings in the Sarasota, Manatee, Pinellas and Hillsborough county areas.
This is a 1099 contractor position. This allows you the freedom set your availability, vacation time and choose the areas you are willing to work.
Court reporters have a critical role in all legal proceedings, which require an exact record of what occurred. Our reporters are responsible for producing a complete, accurate, and secure transcript of depositions, trials, and other legal proceedings. While producing quality transcripts by expedite, or within 10 days of the order.
Predominantly, most of our jobs are still done remotely but there is still a need for live jobs.
We are currently seeking reporters that have the flexibility to attend both remote and live jobs.
Our Locations
We have offices located in Sarasota, Bradenton, St Petersburg, Clearwater, and Tampa.
We try to keep our reporters attending live jobs in the local area of their choosing but pay travel for those reporters who are willing to travel outside of their chosen area.
Rates
We keep our rates competitive with other local firms. Our rates are transparent, for both reporters and our clients.
We adjust our rates annually, ensuring we stay competitive within the market.
Real Time Reporters
These reporters able to assist in the negotiation of Real Time rates related to a request for a Real Time Reporter. If your one of those reporters with this amazing skill set, we would love to have you interview.
Compensation
Most of our reporters have been with us between 10 and 40 years. There willingness to stay working with us is because we take care of them like family. Our reporters average pay is between 50K-140K per annually.
As a court reporter you are aware that how much you make depends on how much you want to work, your availability, and your ability to continue working while still being able produce transcripts in a timely manner.
Our reporters are paid every two weeks on all work completed and billed.
Certification through our local court system to transcribe audio produced from court proceedings and or marketing skills is a plus!
We are currently doing live interviews in our Sarasota & Bradenton offices.
We treat our clients and reporters like family.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
