Pittsylvania County Circuit Court has an exciting career opportunity for a Court Reporter!
The purpose of this position is to record daily criminal court proceedings, maintain the recordings, type opinion letters, and assist with the daily operations of the Circuit Court and Judge's Chambers. This is accomplished by administering the Court schedule, providing general administrative support for the Court, and possessing a strong knowledge of rules and policies of the Court. The Court Reporter is also responsible for ensuring arrangements regarding transcriptions of case recordings when a matter is appealed.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word and have related work experience in the legal field, i.e. law firm, court of law, or clerk of court.
