Court Reporter jobs in Macon, GA

The Digital Court Reporter is an extremely responsible position as an official record keeper and is responsible for recording and monitoring quality audio and video to ensure accurate transcription while also portraying a positive and enthusiastic representation of the business and the technology. Previous experience as a Digital Court Reporter is a must.

Essential Functions include:

• Recording and monitoring audio and video devices for good quality
• Understand, set up, and maintain microphones, cameras, webcams, digital recording software, etc.
• Take log notes with digital reporting software, accurately identify speakers, playback audio upon request
• Complete non-technical aspects of all record keeping
• Authorization to administer sworn oaths as a Notary Public
• Eligibility for federal clearance
• Ensure client satisfaction through a courteous, professional demeanor and always on time
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all matters
• Willingness and ability to travel

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Previous or current experience as a Digital Court Reporter
• Courtroom experience
• Deposition experience
• Computer operation experience
• Create digital file directories and properly store digital records
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• A strong working knowledge of English grammar and legal terminology
• Self-motivated

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed
