Crane/Tower Operator operates electric tower crane equipment. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Crane/Tower Operator is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Crane/Tower Operator performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a supervisor or manager. Position Details
As an Operator, you'll help us create quality products by preparing and performing tasks to set up, operate and monitor all components of the production line.- Set up, operate and monitor assigned machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret shop drawings in order to program equipment
- Perform quality checks to ensure finished product is produced within established deliverables
- Make necessary adjustments to equipment to meet product quality standards
- Troubleshoot common equipment and quality issues
- Meet daily productivity goals
- Inspects equipment for safety
- Operate overhead crane as needed to load and unload product
- Prepares orders for shipment
- Participation in continuous improvement
Experience/Skills- 1 Year experience operating relevant machinery/equipment in manufacturing environment
- Safety oriented
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- 1 Year experience operating a Forklift
- Overhead Crane experience a plus
- Ability to work 2nd shift
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed
