Crane/Tower Operator operates electric tower crane equipment. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Crane/Tower Operator is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Crane/Tower Operator performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a supervisor or manager. Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
- Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members.
- Maintain good, safe working order of equipment according to standards, reporting problems or deviations.
- Ensure individual and crew work safety.
- Prepare equipment for rig up and rig down times.
- Operate the equipment according to competency level and job requirement.
- Maintain the required safety training.
- Complete necessary documentation, reports, and logs accurately and timely

Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at / near the top of the range. The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $18-$26.
SLB offers competitive compensation and benefits programs which include variable pay, health care coverage, retirement plan, protection coverage, time off and leave programs, and training and development opportunities.
This is not an offshore only position; candidates will have to work in the base when not offshore.
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum high school dipolma.
- Local candidates preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a skilled operator in open hole and cased hole.
- Wireline experience required.
- Diesel mechanics and electronics experience a plus.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the United States without visa sponorship.
