Crane/Tower Operator operates electric tower crane equipment. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Crane/Tower Operator is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Crane/Tower Operator performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a supervisor or manager. KESQ/CBS Local 2/KDFX-Palm Springs has an immediate opening for a part time Audio Operator for live evening and other studio productions. There is light graphics preparation involved as well. Shifts may include weekends. The Audio Operator is responsible for controlling microphone, video clip, music, live shot, and other audio sources within live newscasts, as well as studio setup and strike. Ideally, candidates will have recent live news and/or studio production experience. Position may require cross training on other technical duties including directing newscasts. Must be dependable, an excellent communicator, and work well under pressure. 401k and PTO provided.
Pay Range: $16-$17 per hour. Based on experience.
