Job Description:
Web Content Editor
We are looking for a web content analyst/editor who has experience working within a complex, international, commercial website environment. Preferred candidates will have experience with enterprise-level content management systems (CMS) and will be up to the challenge of solving hands-on technical problems while delivering on projects that require thoroughness and attention to detail. Demonstrable expertise in HTML, Dreamweaver, CSS, Photoshop is required.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Maintain content, develop new pages, and ensure overall UX quality and consistency in the implementation of web content throughout site
Optimize content for search engine visibility and ranking
Adhere to corporate branding guidelines in the preparation of web content
Edit and proofread website content, including graphics manipulation, with the ability to work cooperatively with stakeholders to produce such material; actively provide recommendations for improvement regarding presentation/layout.
Ability to understand CMS technical issues and requirements
Relationships
Report to Web Content Management.
Work closely with the following: Digital Marketing on major project timelines and deliverables; marketing communications for content and messaging; UX consultants for page layout, interactive designers for graphics and multimedia; other members of the Content Team for coordination and consistency;
Work in a multi-cultural, international environment requiring a significant amount of diplomacy and efficiency.
Qualifications
Five years experience maintaining database-driven web sites
Experience in life sciences or biotech environment a plus
Skill Proficiency Requirements
The ideal candidate has:
CMS (Content Management System) experience.
Multi-cultural client management skills
Excellent copywriting, copyediting and graphics manipulation skills
The ability to manage given projects and work within deadlines
HTML 5 (required)), Dreamweaver, CSS, Photoshop
